Align and chisel the strike plate precisely in the door frame for smooth deadbolt movement.
Apply a graphite or Teflon-based lubricant to the bolt every 6–12 months to ensure quiet, effortless operation.
Always rotate the thumbturn fully to engage the bolt completely, maximizing security.
Do not force the key—if it’s stiff, check alignment and lubrication before trying again.
Keep spare keys in a secure location to prevent lockouts or damage from key breakage.
